Celebrating Leap Year!
Leap Day is February 29, which is an extra day added during a Leap Year, making the year 366 days long – and not 365 days, like a common year. A leap year occurs every four years to help synchronize our modern Gregorian Calendar
year with the solar year, or the length of time it takes the earth to
complete its orbit about the sun, which is about 365¼ days.
People born on February 29 are all invited to join The Honor Society of Leap Year Day Babies.
